My shed is built from white cedar lumber. does it need special treatment or paint for weathering?
There is no specific need to treat your wood, but a beautiful cedar clear coat every couple of years make it look nicer and last even longer than that is the natural longevity.
Cedar is a great exterior wood product, because the natural abilities to fight the rot, infestation and water damage.
Good choice!

Long before the White Pine Pain in the neck brought bicyclists through Rockford on their way from Grand Rapids to Cadillac, the trail was home to a different kind of transportation - trains.
The Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad began its first train service from Rockford in December 1867. That beginning year, its primary purpose was moving freight - although a passenger line was added in 1868.
Most of the railroad's earnings came from hauling lumber. In 1867, the institution netted a profit of just $22,000, but by 1876, its gross earnings had increased to more than $300,000.
Despite booming work and a growing demand for lumber, the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad struggled financially. It was bought by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1918.
Terry Konkle, president of the Rockford Enclosure Historical Society said the railroad continued to service mostly
