Everlast Composite Siding Appears on 2 Homes in Rhode Island

The first of these projects in Portsmouth Rhode Key included removing cedar shingles less than 20 years old and replacing them with Everlast composite siding and complementing orderly products. More and more homeowners siding contractors serving coastal Rhode Island are turning to non-wood siding products. High-speed growth, kiln drying, and newer milling processes means cedar shingles are less dense, less reliable, and breakdown much faster than in decades past. The homeowners were ecstatic to get rid of the high maintenance cedar shingles that never seem to operative paint more than a year. The cedar shingles have been painted and touched up multiple times just within the past five years. Once again the homeowners were dealing with cedar shingles that constantly peeled. The most accustomed product used near the coast is cedar shingles.

how do I get rid of cedar siding bleeding stains?

I have cedar siding on my house. just today I noticed a few spots are brown. I think it's seeping cedar. My siding is painted. question is how do I stop permanently? I've been sprayed with a hose and all goes well, but then a new layer to replace it. It will stop time?

Do you have bad news. To remedy this you must use an oil primer, not KILZ. The oil will stop bleeding through, then you can repaint without worries.

Fact that literally hundreds of times.
