What car or truck do mechanics own or recommend?

I am looking to buy a used car or truck and asked what car or truck does not recommend or own mechanics. I currently own a '97 Dodge Avenger and have had many problems with the timing belt (on my second ... spent nearly a thousand) and arms control (both replaced twice). So what is a good and reliable car, used or truck that may have little maintenance? foreign or domestic plant open.

I have worked with four first-class mechanics. They specialized in imports. But at night they went home in Denali or Tahoe. WHY? Simple, they last, they can get parts for them, which are basic to work and if the springs are broken down into helpful, Clide the mechanic can work on them. Please believe me, go to import stores (in its top technical work) and ask what truck they drive, or simply look in the back parking lot, I did in the Mercedes dealership and yep there were GM SUVs. Good luck. Staff who have a 99 Denali, there are major problems just the groundwork. 137,000 miles and still going strong.
